Beginning Watercolor at Union City

Amazing things are happening for my art classes at the library!  Full classes, wait lists, and people waiting for the wait list people not to show up!  Awesome!  I hear so many wonderful comments from people like, "I'm so happy! I can't believe I did this!, I will be back for all of your classes!" Or, "I just came from India, and was so excited to find your class."  The community being built is wonderful too.  I enjoyed watching people go around to each other's paintings and tell them how beautiful they were.  Watercolor and Acrylic Paint are two of the most requested and popular classes right now.  I had two people come and tell me how relaxing it was to just take a little time for themselves, and they hope other adults will do this too, because it's so good for them,  Check out the gorgeous results from these beginners!

Lots of Jelly Fish in Fremont

The kids were so excited to get going on this craft.  It was time consuming, as I had them sharpen their scissor skills and do all the work themselves.  They also chose to design their suncatcher body, and the size of the tentacles.  They loved this craft, as did the parents!  Look how cute they turned out!

Adults Love to Paint Rocks Too!

We had a great group of artists ready to be creative on a rock.  This is popular with all ages!  We did pet rocks with the kids awhile back and that was a great deal of fun too.  You are going to see some amazing art on these rocks!

Mosaic Boxes at San Lorenzo

I had a room of very excited crafters today to make the mosaic boxes.  This is my second time doing this program, and it was as well-received as the first time.  I had a room full of women, and once they started, it was silent!  There's a nice sense of community in these adult classes, and many comment on how lonely they are and appreciate having a place to come to, to see others and create together instead of alone at home.  I have a list of requests from the different programs over the past months, so I'm looking forward to your bookings, so they can gather together in community; a community of crafters!

Father's Day Card Embossing

I had excited students today who came to learn how to emboss.  I showed them two techniques and helped them use their new knowledge to create cards.  This is a great class for adults, as most don't know how to do this, and love having a personal gift to give when they are finished.  Look at their creativity!
