Sand Art for Adults

We had a fun night of conversation, laughter, and sharing stories as they worked on their sand art pieces tonight.  The boards ended up not having any glue on them, so they were hard to work with.  Everyone was very gracious and saw it as an art challenge and dove in.  I love working with these people, and how much they enjoy the time away from their lives, just enjoying some down time.  Look at their pieces; I think they did a great job!

Tissue Canvases with Families

I was supposed to be working with five to eight year olds, but the library was pretty much empty when I arrived so I opened the program to all ages, and ended up with some amazing families who came and enjoyed making art together!  One dad said he was having a blast crafting with his wife and son, and all the others were very happy to have the time together.  I had three generation families, a single adult, and many other families working to create their masterpieces.  All were very happy with their results, and said they truly enjoyed the day!

Washer Necklaces with Seniors

The East Palo Alto Library has me go to the Senior Center and do art with their patrons once a month.  This has become a wonderful tool to gather seniors together and keep them creating.  Everyone loved the process of making these necklaces, and their results.  Take a look.

Beginning Acrylics at the Union City Library

A fantastic class tonight of brand new to painting, as well as various stages of learning how to paint.  I do not kid when I say this is one of my most sought after programs!  They cannot get enough of how to paint, and have a place and time to be able to explore this medium.  They are begging for more!  Even the first timers did an amazing job!  Look at the gorgeous results!

Suncatchers at Irvington

The kids were very excited to create their hot air balloon suncatcher wind chime today!  Lots of hugs from the kids that have missed me being around, and that was really sweet.  All the kids really enjoyed relaxing and taking time to color their suncatcher, and many added drawings as well.  Take a look!  Librarians commented that they wished they'd joined in on the fun!

Stamping Watercolor Cards for Seniors

The seniors were excited to have an art class to themselves today.  I was excited to show the new techniques with stamps, and watercolors.  I shared how to do four techniques, then they got to work.  They were all new painters, but you wouldn't know it by the results!  I enjoyed the chatter among them, and the laughter that we always share.  Look at the gorgeous results!!  Before I even had the class, younger adults were asking for this class as well.  This will be a winner for sure!
