Faux Pumpkin Design at Niles Library

A room filled with adults who were anxious to get started on the pumpkins today.  I loved their creativity, and the way they worked together as well to be sure everyone had the supplies they needed.  These adult programs are such a great way for women and men to socialize while learning a new skill, or just enjoying a craft time.  Each person left the program today very excited about what they created, and so happy to have a place to enjoy some craft time!

Faux Stained Glass

Very artistic people joined me at the Union City Library today to create Faux Stained Glass Art.  Their creativity in sketching out their designs was wonderful, and they all enjoyed this fun art time.  Look at the results.  You will see pieces that are very full of paint (this is the back of the piece) and those with the black lines showing and muted paint (the front of the piece).

Seasoned Folks and Tote Bags

The Ladies and Gentlemen at a Senior Center in East Palo Alto sure enjoyed being able to do some adult crafting today.  The East Palo Alto Library paid for me to bring the craft time, and they enjoyed every minute of it creating beautiful tote bags.  Look at the beautiful people, and their beautiful art pieces!

Duct Tape Notebooks at Fremont Main

Duct Tape and Tweens go so well together!!  Here, the tweens decorated notebooks with Duct Tape for school.  We had a lot of fun!  I enjoyed the giggling boys in class today, who decided I'm quite funny.  I liked their creativity.

Adult Rock Painting

This program was well received.  All the ladies (double the amount that usually come to a morning program) were very excited to get started on painting their rock.  I enjoyed watching them work diligently on their piece, while also encouraging their neighbor and sharing paint pallets.  Pet Rocks was very popular with the children, and the moms had asked for an adult type show.  Here are their creations-quite lovely!

Dry Erase Decorative Frames at the Fremont Main Library

Adults made dry erase frames at the Fremont Library tonight.  I was very pleased to see Mothers and daughters enjoy an evening together, as well as groups of friends spending time crafting together.  As you can see, their creativity flowed.

Graffiti Resist Art

The Tweens at the Castro Valley Library had a great time creating graffiti art, then using water to change the appearance of their piece.  The marker bled, filling their piece with color depending on how much they used. They also found that wherever there was crayon, the water left the color alone.  The parents liked this art as much as the children did, and were writing down the products and directions to continue it at home.

Roamin' Reptiles in Pacifica

The children enjoyed designing their wooden snakes today in Pacifica.  Lots of talk about different kinds of snakes, especially Rattle Snakes.  The children learned about them being cold-blooded and other science facts.  Then, we made habitats for their new friend to live in.
