Summer Reading Fun in Benicia

We had a great group of kids and adults join us for the Summer Reading Fun crafting time.  Three crafts and lots of creativity!  Parents and teens wanted to join in the fun as well, but this time, just for little kids.  The room was filled with chatter, while children created, and parents talking with their kids or with other adults.  It's a great community time that I enjoy being a part of.  Now, look at the awesome work the kids did!

Father's Day Fun

We had a great time celebrating Dads by making two different crafts and a Super Hero card as well.  The kids loved the crafts, and the older kids enjoyed making a special card for their dads.  Lots of fun, and the children spent a good deal of time making the perfect gift.  Take a look at the fun!

Adult Coloring at Irvington

When I arrived today, two librarians were concerned we wouldn't have anyone show up for the Adult Coloring.  I thought we'd have a nice crowd considering it was at 11:00 am on a weekday.  We ended up with 10, which is a good turn out for a brand new craft offering and the time of day.  They spent a good deal of time deciding which picture they wanted for coloring, then heads down and work commenced!  We spent extra time, and still most took their paper home to continue creating their masterpiece.  Look how beautiful!  This program is a goody!!  Let me know if you'd like it at your library soon.

Memory Wire Bracelets and Earrings at Centerville

We had a full house at Centerville tonight of eager adults ready to learn how to create with memory wire and beads.  They also created matching earrings.  They worked hard, learned new techniques, and were very happy with the results.  The adult classes are gaining popularity and many new attendees at each program.  Look at their beautiful work!

Butterfly Gardening Demo and Craft at Niles

We had a nice group of moms come in today to learn how to create a butterfly garden.  I handed out lists of the best plants to purchase, and how to create their own garden.  The children enjoyed making a 3-D Butterfly while we talked.  They were very happy with the class, and looked forward to going and creating their own garden.
