Faux Stained Glass for Adults

I had a room filled with adults very excited to be creative today.  We did a practice piece first, then created our masterpieces!  What an array of beautiful art pieces we had at the end.  Men and women alike enjoyed this class, and the creativity was flowing!

Tweens and Memory Wire Rings

25 Tweens had a good time socializing while creating two memory wire rings.  I enjoyed their choices of colors and patterns, and the amount of time they took making their rings.

Preschool Paint Exploration

Twenty preschoolers, paint, and lots of creativity happened at the Irvington Library today.  Each child created three masterpieces using different tools and their imaginations.  They had so much fun.  The parents seemed to enjoy the class almost more than the kids did!  Not a drop of paint where it didn't belong, and the parents were very helpful in keeping things clean and controlled too.  A great program for these little people!

It's All in the Perspective

A full class of tweens practiced taking pictures today, then learned how they could do better with instruction from Sam and I.  It was wonderful for me to be able to see a good amount of learning happening!  The kids did a great job of going over and over a shot to get that perspective just right.  They were really proud of themselves too!  Many left asking me what they should continue working on-so their learning will continue.

Preschoolers Button Frames

A very excited group of 3-5 year olds waited patiently to begin making their button frames.  They spent a good deal of time coloring their frame, then added buttons with glue.  Most of them made a Father's Day gift, and moms sure were happy that was done for them!  The kids showed great creativity!!

Bottle Cap Art

A room filled with tweens excited and ready to create Bottle Cap Art awaited us today.  The kids had a great time creating three bottle caps to take home, as a magnet, a key ring, and a necklace.  Their pieces turned out great!  This program would be best for teens ages 12 and up, and I'm certain they'll love this idea. We could make earrings, jelly roll necklaces, and much more.  Sam (17) enjoyed making a key ring too, and commented how much teens would like this program!
